Chairperson
Khalida has been involved with the organisation since 2002, initially as a member and latterly as Chair for the last four years. She has acquired a good level of experience of race equality work through her day job working for a voluntary anti-racist organisation and her active involvement in the community, in particular, with minority ethnic women. This experience has proved invaluable for the service development of SCOREscotland.

Ajaz has lived in the UK for over 40 years. He has a wealth of life experience to share and help progress the work of SCOREscotland. Ajaz currently works as a Civil Engineer for Midlothian Council.
Ajaz has been on the board for over two years and has actively contributed towards promoting social cohesion through his participation in planning and organising social events. He is keen to promote community harmony through creating informal community interaction.

Taimur has lived in the West of Edinburgh for three years and joined the SCOREscotland in September 2006. He has worked in the private financial sector for over five years and has acquired extensive experience in the IT field.
Taimur is supportive of SCOREscotland’s aims of an inclusive society and wishes to support its work, in particular by raising its online profile and by developing more effective IT communications.

Amjad is a retired Civil Engineer who worked for east of Scotland Water for over nine years. He has lived in the West of Edinburgh for 39 years and has been involved with the organisation for almost five years.
Amjad has good knowledge of the area and issues affecting minority ethnic communities. He has gained a lot of experience over the years through his involvement in a number voluntary organisation. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Pakistan Society, Vice Chair of Multi-Agency group WEGARAH and has in the past been involved with the Edinburgh Racial Incident Monitoring Project (ERIMP).

Shaz lives in the West of Edinburgh. He has been a board member since 2004. He works full time with the Royal Bank of Scotland as a Business Industry Analyst. Shaz is dedicated to actively contributing to the development of the organisation in particular by sharing his knowledge and experience of the financial world.

Iftakhar has lived in West Edinburgh for almost eight years, he has two children and several grandchildren. He has been a member of the organisation for almost three years. Iftakhar is also Treasurer of the Jafaria Foundation.
He is committed and keen to support the work of the organisation, particularly as his family has benefited form the services provided.
SCOREscotland Board is also advised by: Steve Kent of EVOC.

Kate worked as a generic Community Education Worker in Wester Hailes from 1990 to 1993 and learned a lot from an element of her job, which was to support Philip Chan and Shamime Mansoori in their Community Relations work. She then worked for the YWCA Roundabout Centre, in Edinburgh, from 1993 to 2001, initially as Community Education Worker and finally as Project Manager/Community Education Worker. The Centre supported black/minority ethnic women and children, with classes, groups, advice and information, and with the amazing inter-cultural and inclusive Summer School.
