Cashback Youth X-change (11-24yrs)
This project is no longer active. Find out more about our projects here.
Cashback Youth X-change project funded by CashBack for Communities (Scottish Government). The primary aim of the CashBack project is to divert local BME and other young people from antisocial/criminal behavior through different activities as well as raise awareness of the justice system to ensure that YP is less likely to participate in such behaviors.
Our approach involves actively involving local youth in a diverse range of activities, aiming to improve their physical and mental well-being, enhance their educational and employment prospects, and establish training and volunteering opportunities that will enhance their soft skills.
We achieve this by offering weekly sports activities. Every Monday, in collaboration with Blast Boxing, we’re delivering boxing classes for young people between 11-17 years old at Gate 55. On Thursdays, we’re delivering basketball training at St. Augustine’s RC High School.
Apart from those activities, we also offer a series of other workshops such as money management, creative writing, music library, street art workshops as well as outdoor activities.
All of these activities wouldn’t have been possible without Cashback for Communities.
