Celebrating Black History Month – Together as a Community!
What a fantastic evening last Thursday celebrating Black History Month at WHALE Arts!
We had a brilliant turnout and a wonderful atmosphere, bringing people together to celebrate, reflect, share experiences and connect.
The evening included a screening of the short film Good Hair, followed by an engaging discussion, music and, of course, a delicious meal!
But what made the event particularly special for us was the opportunity to work in partnership with The Welcoming Edinburgh. Thanks Asia and all colleagues – By coming together, sharing ideas, skills and resources, we were able to create a fantastic event that celebrated diversity, strengthened connections and brought our communities closer.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and delivering the event, our performers, volunteers and, most importantly, everyone who came along and made the evening so special.
We look forward to working together again with the Welcoming and build on this success and offer more opportunities to celebrate cultures and share experiences!
