Future is in Focus is a Climate Film Workshop for young people aged 14-18. All equipment will be provided!
As part of our Youth Climate Leadership Programme, the workshop invites young people to consider their hopes for the future and explore a simple but powerful question: What would life look like if everything turned out okay?
Together, the young people will create a film imagining positive future scenarios, exploring:
- What does that future look and feel like?
- How did we get there?
- What changes made it possible?
The young people will work collaboratively to create a short film that captures their shared vision. Alongside the creative process, they will develop practical filmmaking skills, including storytelling, shot composition and filming techniques.
The workshop encourages participants to imagine positive alternatives and articulate their aspirations. The completed film acts as a lasting reminder and source of inspiration long after the workshop has ended.
Workshop Details
- Location: Hailes Quarry Park
- Duration: 2 hours (10am-12pm)
- Suitable for: 14 years plus
- All equipment will be provided
- Snacks will be provided
- Includes: Practical film skills development, facilitated creative activities, equipment provision, filming, and a completed short film!
