Racism Stops People Living the Life They Deserve

Join the Board of SCOREscotland and Make a Difference in Your Community

We’re looking for new Non-Executive Directors to join our Board, with a particular focus on:

  • People from Minority Ethnic (ME) communities living in Wester Hailes or surrounding areas;
  • Young Black people (18+);
  • People with lived experience of racism and social exclusion;
  • Individuals who can contribute skills, experience, or insight in one or more of the following areas: fundraising and finance, child protection, risk management, human resources, community learning & development, marketing, communications and policy development.  You do not need prior Board experience — support, training and guidance will be provided.

As a Non-Executive Director (Board Member), you will:

  • Help shape SCOREscotland’s strategic direction;
  • Provide oversight, support, and constructive challenge to the Management Team;
  • Ensure the organisation is well-governed, financially sustainable, and true to its values.

Board Members meet regularly (currently every two months) and work collectively to ensure the charity operates effectively and in line with Scottish charity law.
