We are looking for volunteers for our new project Together We Thrive– building cultural bonds in Wester Hailes. Together we Thrive is all about strengthening community and supporting health and wellbeing. We are going to be running a weekly group, monthly community meals, and quarterly trips and outings.
We need Advisory Group Volunteers and Project Volunteers.
Advisory Group Volunteers:
Our Advisory Group will involve volunteers from different backgrounds who live in West Edinburgh to help ensure the project is meeting our goals and involving participants in its delivery.
Responsibilities:
· Bi-monthly meetings
· Talking about how we can create spaces where everyone can thrive
· Planning activities and events that build cultural bonds
· Attending and supporting our activities and events
· Building community and belonging
· Reflecting on the project and how we could improve
Project Volunteers:
Our Project volunteers will help make our groups, activities, events, and outings possible.
Responsibilities:
· Being friendly and welcoming and creating a culture of openness and belonging
· Practical help with setting up and packing down the space
· Supporting with preparing refreshments
· Joining in with our debriefs and reflecting on what we are learning and how we could improve
